Angela Johnson and Ranbir for Dhoom 3

Ranbir Kapoor’ and former swimsuit model Angela Johnson was recently found auditioning for a hot, sizzling role in Yash Raj’s ‘Dhoom 3’.

Angela, who has set her eyes on Bollywood was called for an audition at the studio. Talking to a daily, a source said, “There have been a lot of auditions going on after Victor and Adi decided to have a new face to star opposite Aamir in ‘Dhoom 3’. Angela came in as a part of that process. And she impressed them.”

“What also worked for the ‘Dhoom’ makers is that Angela is quite gorgeous and can easily carry off a stylish character. And most importantly despite being a model she is quite short…almost ideal for a short person like Aamir. That’s why they have had more meetings with her,” added the source.

“We constantly audition new talent and Angela was auditioned for a possible role by our casting department but this was not for any specific project. As for whether she is a part of ‘Dhoom 3’, YRF is not in discussion with her. We would like to reiterate that the D:3 girl has not been found and the hunt is still on,” said the YRF spokesperson.

Katrina hesitate to work with Ranbir Kapoor

The girl who sizzled in her 2010 chartbuster ‘Sheila ki Jawani’ broke up with her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor early this year. Moreover, her “not so good” relationship with her mentor Salman Khan has done no good to her. Hence the lady is amidst a lot of mental turmoil.

Kat, who was ideally meant to star opposite Ranbir in Ayan Mukerji’s latest flick, has been replaced by Anushka Sharma. But the filmmaker is keen to have his original choice back on board for his next film.

A source close to the actress said, “Kat is in a dilemma. She is a very capable actress and can easily pull it off. But the thing is she has to have the go ahead from her heart. She needs to be comfortable working with Ranbir. They parted ways a little more than three months back. It’s still too fresh,” said a source.

The ‘Wake Up Sid’ director is good friends with Ranbir as well as Katrina. And the trio used to frequently meet up.

“Yup. He is also very close to Katrina. Ranbir, Katrina and Ayaan used to often hang out together until Katrina and Ranbir called off their relationship,” added the source.

Ranveer seems to be following in the steps of Ranbir

Ranveer seems to be following in the steps of Ranbir. He began dating Anushka after BBB. He gets smitten by the girls he works closely with, so no one is really surprised that he's stumped by Parineeti. However, one is sure PC wouldn't like her cousin's association with Ranveer. The lad managed to rub her the wrong way.

He still has to admit that Anushka is anything more than a co-star and a 'friend'. The same gheesa-peeta line that RK had been mouthing about Katrina Kaif, till they split. And now, like the Kapoor lad, Singh has developed a roving eye too.

The Band Bajaa Baraat lad has been cosying up to Priyanka Chopra's cousin Parineeti. Does this mean 'bye-bye Ms Sharma? Too early to say. Ranveer and Anushka have a volatile relationship. It has its ups and downs. An insider says, "Ranveer and Anushka have no plans to admit they are seeing each other. They have a mutual understanding, so it's not like a totally committed relationship. If he's showing interest in Parineeti — one of his co-stars in his next film, then Anushka must've noticed it as she is part of the film too."

Sehwag got dancing tips by Ranbir

Ranbir Kapoor, who will be seen giving dancing tips to cricketer Virender Sehwag during the shooting of the ad.

Ranbir, who has showcased his dancing prowess in movies like "Saawariya", "Bachna Ae Haseeno" and "Anjaana Anjaani", has teamed up with the cricketer for Pepsi`s cricket World Cup special commercial.

The actor sports a loud and carefree look in the ad, which has been designed by Aki Narula who gave him a pair of ripped jeans and a colourful bold checked shirt to wear over a white fitted tee.

"Thoda grace se hila... Kamar bhi hila… shakal pe expression la… Upar se aane ka, niche dabane ka, piche uthane ka, haan!" will be the background song for the ad.

A source from the sets revealed that Sehwag was initially shy, but being a true sportsman, quickly got into the groove and started following Ranbir`s instructions on the dance floor.


To complete the edgy and chilled out look, Narula decided to give Ranbir white wayfarers, a chic hat and a leather cuff.

Ranbir have potential to follow "Big B"

Director Siddharth Anand feels the young actor has the potential to follow in the footsteps of megastar Amitabh Bachchan as the "complete Hindi film hero".

"The day Ranbir does an action film and does it well, he has the potential to fill the void that Bachchan created," said Anand who teamed up with Ranbir for the second time for his new romantic comedy ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ releasing Sep 24.

"Ranbir is the perfect guy to play Anthony (a character played by Big B in `Amar Akbar Anthony`), he can play coolie, he can play the characters Bachchan played in his prime. There is no one else but him," Anand told reporters.

"In `Anjaana Anjaani` there is a sequence where they are stranded in the middle of an ocean. It was the Pacific Ocean and he had to dive into the freezing waters. He did it even though he has aquaphobia," said the director.

Talking about the film that co-stars Priyanka Chopra, he said: " `Anjaana Anjaani` is the story of two strangers who meet in strange circumstances and then part as strangers. So it`s a very unique concept for a Hindi film, but it`s deep-rooted as a Hindi commercial film. It has songs, stories, beautiful locations and fabulous performances."

Siddharth says more than the actresses, he bonds well with actors.

"I am a hero`s director. I bond with my heroes more than I bond with my heroines. Once we become friends, I like to work with them repeatedly if they are okay with it. I have been fortunate enough to work with two superstars," said Anand.

Ranbir, more supportive towards Deepika

Deepika Padukone still seems to be riding high on the success of her last film ‘Housefull’, her ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor too has started exuding more confidence post his latest hit ‘Raajneeti’.

Although rumours have been rife about Ranbir approaching Deepika several times, hinting at the possibility of a patch-up with the actress, the latter has never looked interested. But now, Deepika has finally admitted that she doesn’t mind working with the Kapoor scion.

When asked if she’s already working on a project with Ranbir, the actress told a news daily, “Not yet, but I would like to.”

However, it seems that Deepika is completely over Ranbir now, for the actress has found a very special friend in her ‘Lafangey Parindey’ co-star Neil Nitin Mukesh.

“Neil has been the most supportive and encouraging co-star so far. He’s been there for me personally as well. I’ve made a friend for life,” said Deepika.

Talking about her role in much-awaited flick ‘Lafangey Parindey’, Deepika said, “Playing a blind girl, who’s a dancer on skates wasn’t easy. I used to shoot a particular scene with my eyes closed and then re-shoot with my eyes open.”
