Real-life bodyguards should be honored : Kareena

Actress Kareena is planning to meet the bodyguards of Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Imran Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar and felicitate them for their work, commitment and dedication towards the protection of the stars.



Kareena Kapoor, who is gearing up for the release of her new film "Bodygaurd" with Salman Khan, will felicitate the real-life minders of Bollywood stars.



"Bodyguard" is romantic action film directed by Siddique and is a remake of the director`s 2010 Malayalam movie of the same name. Salman had asked Shera, his bodyguard for 15 years, to launch the promo of the film.

According to a Bollywood insider there is no truth in this news as given the rifting history between them, both of them are not in a mood to work with each other. But then again, in Bollywood there is no permanent and prolonged love and hate relations. Since both the stars are busy with numerous acting assignments in their hands, and the casting are yet to be finalized for Imtiaz’s film.

Apparently Bebo refused to be a part of Duggu’s debut flick, which really did not go well with the Roshans. Though smarty Kareena was quick enough to realized what she has lost, and was even more quicker in accepting lead actress role in movies like Yadein, Main Prem Ki Diwani, Mujhse Dosti Karoge and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham pairing against Hrithik. Since then both these Bollywood hotties have been maintaining cordial relations, but past does haunt.Iit’s hard to say when the audience will get to see their favorite stars together once again.

Kareena may backup Saif Ali Khan at Padmshree Award

There was a lot of hue and cry over ‘undeserving’ Saif Ali Khan being felicitated with the prestigious Padmashri. Cartoons, blogs and spoofs were created to ridicule the ‘chote’ nawab over his unmeritorious recognition. Even the actor expressed surprise at the unexpected honour but now he is beaming ear-to-ear. He has laid elaborate plans for the same and doting girlfriend Kareena Kapoor is all set to accompany him to Rashtrapati Bhavan on April 7.

But the actor has not foreseen the result of taking superstar girlfriend along with him. Media is already talking about Kareena and there is hardly any mention of Saif. Sources at Rashtrapati Bhavan reveal that there are many VIPs who are avid movie watchers and all of them are keen to meet Kareena. So, Saif may get a half an hour special audience with the President due to Kareena’s popularity.

Everybody is talking about Kareena’s saree, designed by Manish Malhotra for the occasion but Saif has been sidelined. Sad for Saif, but truly, Kareena seems to be receiving the Padmashri!

Saif desperate After "Kurbaan"

News has it that post the Box Office fate of ‘Kurbaan,’ Saif is desperate to start ‘Agent Vinod’ – the only film in his kitty. With just one flop changing the Bollywood equations, Saif became complacent when his first home production ‘Love Aaj Kal’ turned a hit.

Talking to a news daily, a source said, “Saif went completely underground after ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and refused to sign any more films. He found the offers either mediocre or the roles not central to the plot. He was sure the right projects would come along, otherwise he was ready to wait it out for his next home production.”

Basking in the glory of his first home production, ‘Agent Vinod’ got delayed while Saif was still unperturbed. However, Saif was stunned with the BO failure of ‘Kurbaan’ as the source added, “Saif had no projects on hand. His favourite directors Siddharth Anand and Imtiaz Ali had moved on to Ranbir Kapoor. Saif’s home production ‘Agent Vinod’ showed no signs of taking off. So far he had been laidback about starting ‘Agent Vinod’, but after the failure of ‘Kurbaan,’ he hit the panic button.”

It seems Saif has shifted gears as things are really moving at a fast pace - director Sriram Raghavan is asked to get the script while Kareena is requested to keep her dates free.

Akshay Kumar has worked with both Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in several films, but he can`t decide who is better. The action king says both are "wonderful actresses" and have "sexy figure".

Akshay has done four films with Katrina including "Namastey London" and "Singh Is Kinng", while he has worked with Kareena in five that include hits "Ajnabee" and "Aitraaz". The two are set to scorch the screen once again in their upcoming action-cum-romantic drama "Kambakkht Ishq", which releases Friday.

"In `Kambakkht Ishq`, Kareena has performed very well. Her character required to answer back at me and be strong and she has portrayed it in a powerful, yet lovable way. On the other hand, even Katrina was really good in `Namastey London`. So it`s not really about my choice... it all depends on their roles," the actor told reporters.

Akshay plays a Hollywood stuntman in "Kambakkht Ishq", which also boasts of big Hollywood names like Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh - working with whom has been a "dream come true" for the actor.

In the film, Akshay has done what he is best at - action and daredevilry - something that had taken a backseat in his career for a while.

"I decided to stop doing stunts till Aarav (son) turns at least six. Now I`m back at it again. In `Blue`, which is an action thriller, I have done some death-defying stunts like the one where I had to swim 150 feet underwater with 30-40 sharks. But I will talk about it sometime later," he said.

Saif and Kareena Would be a Terroiest in ........

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor will playing as a terroiest in Rensil D'silva's next film, would be making his directorial debut with the Saif-Kareena-Vivek Oberoi starrer to be produced under the banner of Dharma Productions. The buzz in the media circles is that the intense film is titled Jihaad but Rensil denied this rumor. "No...my film is not called Jihaad. It's a name that the media seems to have given the film but it's not the official title", says Rensil .

While the story of the film has been written by Karan Johar, Rensil has worked on the screenplay of the film. An interesting fact however is that instead of Dharma favorites Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, this time it would be Salim-Sulaiman who would be composing music for this film.

There is a strong buzz that Saif and Kareena are playing terrorists in the film but the director is not ready to reveal much. "I can't reveal plot points or character sketches at this point of time", says the writer turned director, who doesn't deny the news.

Apart from Saif, Kareena and Vivek Oberoi the film was supposed to star Tara Sharma. However, the actress is due to have her first baby soon and hence had to back out of the project. Minissha Lamba would now be essaying that part. The supporting cast also includes Kirron Kher, Om Puri and some talented new faces.
