Salman want to make sucessful family

In today's times when family values have become trivial and human bonding is breaking down, everyone must remember that a man is a success only if he has good family values. I would rate family values as something more important than success, “said Salman” So i believe housewife is better then professional wife.

Whether it is his character in Maine Pyaar Kiya or Hum Aapke Hai Kaun or the guy who loses the girl in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam but still manages to win hearts, Salman admits he believes in family values.

" I will be a finished man tomorrow if I do not respect what my family wants. Family is the biggest support system you have." For someone whose family relocated from Indore with the actor's father Salim Khan having only 60 rupees in his pocket, Salman considers simple living to be something that he would never be afraid to go back to.

For someone who has often commented that if it were possible he would have gotten married at the age of 17, we ask him the obvious question of his dream woman and he says. "I want someone who is very efficient with good qualities of a homemaker."

The macho hero seems to have vanished: Salman

Salman Khan, who won over the audiences with his performance as a tough cop in `Dabangg`, is consciously making efforts to bring the `macho man` back to Bollywood.

"I am consciously trying to get heroes, macho men back. I miss them. When my father wrote, the heroes used to be strong and central to the story, doing heroic things. I would go to the cinema and clap and whistle when I saw the hero on screen," Salman said.

"The macho hero seems to have vanished. I feel today people are also missing the macho man. I wanted to make sure people remember the hero when they leave the theatre. That is why I am doing such films," he said.

On why `Wanted` and `Dabangg` worked, Salman said, "`Wanted` worked because of the father-son equation in the film. After the father`s death, the film took a different angle. In the case of `Dabangg` it was surprising that children caught on with the film. I just went back into my childhood, we wanted to see heroism and that`s what even children wanted to see in `Dabangg`."

Salman refuse to Promote GUZAARISH in Biss Boss

Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai saga might be passé but the two are still averse to facing each other. So Salman refuses to entertain Aishwarya’s ‘Guzaarish’ on ‘Bigg Boss’ Salman denied Ash starrer ‘Guzaarish’ any kind of publicity on his show ‘Bigg Boss’. Even though the actor is very fond of the film’s lead actor, Hrithik and director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, he declined to entertain the cast on ‘Bigg Boss’.

Buzz has it that when Salman was told that Bhansali’s film team will be coming on his show for promotion, the actor stated a firm ‘no’.

Confirming the news, a source said, “The marketing team of ‘Guzaarish’ and the channel were in talks and everything was finalized. Both the production house and the channel were keen that the ‘Guzaarish’ team appeared on the show. No one realised that it would actually be a very awkward situation for both Salman, the host of the show and Aishwarya Rai, the leading lady of the film, given their past. Obviously, when Salman learnt about it, he immediately refused to comply.”

And knowing Salman, the channel had no say in the matter after this. The marketing team was left with little options than to refuse the Guzaarish team.

“But to be fair, allowing the Guzaarish team in would have landed Sallu in a situation he never wanted to be in. It’s a thing of the past and both Ash and Sallu have consciously avoided meeting one another,” says the source.

Sonakshi in Between Salman & Kat

Salman did not propose Katrina’s name for lead in his ‘Dabanggg.’ That role went to Sonakshi Sinha, the daughter of Shatrughan Sinha.

The two were seen in close company on the sets of film- and not just acting as per the script.
"Salman is a wonderful painter. Whenever he found himself free he started painting and I used to go and join him,” Sonakshi told a daily. It didn’t end there.

“Salman used to give me a theme and I used to paint accordingly, and when we see the final output, we used to find both the painting same. I never copied him but I think our style of painting is the same,” said the debutant actress.

However, what happened with Katrina is just a temporary act is not for sure. The lady was set to play the lead in the under-production film The Italian Job, being directed by Abbas-Mustan.

But all of a sudden, producer Aditya Chopra changed his mind and it might go in favour of Sonakshi Sinha, the daughter of Shatrughan Sinha.

But the change of minds and attitudes does not seem one sided. A source on the sets of Zoya Akhtar’s Zindaggi Milegi Na Dubara that stars Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif as the leap pair has revealed reports of sizzling chemistry between the two.

The two have been getting along rather too well, reports suggest.

Salman is well connect with Police

Salman Khan, who is once again playing police as his grandfather was a police officer and, of course, due to his own run-ins with the law. His brother Arbaaz Khan`s debut production ‘Dabangg’.

Salman, 44, has played a policeman in several films like ‘Wanted’, ‘Garv’ and ‘Auzaar’.

He started out in 1988 with the film ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’. Salman gets philosophical when he says a star`s image is something created by others and if an actor himself starts believing in that image, then he is done for.

"I think because my grandfather was deputy inspector general (DIG) of police, Indore, I have this special thing for the cops. I have also shared a very long relationship...!" Salman told reporters with a laugh.

The actor spent time in jail in 2002 after his car allegedly ran over four people sleeping on a footpath. He once again went behind bars in 2007 in Jodhpur on charges of hunting an endangered deer.

"I lost a lot of weight and then it looked weird. You are playing a cop who is totally ribbed. I really wanted to look ribbed in the film," said Salman.

Salman had grown his hair for ‘Veer’, a look he really liked, and now he sports a moustache for the new flick, which also stars Shatrughan Sinha`s daughter Sonakshi. He admits he was a bit apprehensive about going for an image makeover this time.

"I had just finished `Veer` and I had to cut my hair very short... I didn`t want to. The long hair was looking good. It took so long to grow them; so I didn`t want anyone to cut them off."
