After Sonakshi Sinha, dimpled beauty Deepika Padukone has expressed her desire to work with the `Band Baaja Baarat` sensation. And the lanky young man can do little but blush.

Ranveer Singh might be just one film old, but he has certainly grabbed eyeballs of pretty women in Bollywood. The average looking young actor seems to be the most desirable co-star and hotties in B-town can’t stop going ga-ga over him.



Dips while talking to reporters was all praise for Ranveer Singh said, "From the new lot I really like Ranveer. I watched `Band Baaja Baarat` and there is something about him that I really liked. He has tremendous screen presence and a certain amount of energy and confidence that I really like."



We wonder how Ranveer’s alleged on and off “just good friend” (girlfriend) Anushka Sharma will take this piece of news. First it was Sonakshi Sinha who stole Ranveer from her at the eleventh IIFA event in Toronto in July and now it’s Deepika’s turn!

Ranveer seems to be following in the steps of Ranbir. He began dating Anushka after BBB. He gets smitten by the girls he works closely with, so no one is really surprised that he's stumped by Parineeti. However, one is sure PC wouldn't like her cousin's association with Ranveer. The lad managed to rub her the wrong way.

He still has to admit that Anushka is anything more than a co-star and a 'friend'. The same gheesa-peeta line that RK had been mouthing about Katrina Kaif, till they split. And now, like the Kapoor lad, Singh has developed a roving eye too.

The Band Bajaa Baraat lad has been cosying up to Priyanka Chopra's cousin Parineeti. Does this mean 'bye-bye Ms Sharma? Too early to say. Ranveer and Anushka have a volatile relationship. It has its ups and downs. An insider says, "Ranveer and Anushka have no plans to admit they are seeing each other. They have a mutual understanding, so it's not like a totally committed relationship. If he's showing interest in Parineeti — one of his co-stars in his next film, then Anushka must've noticed it as she is part of the film too."

Apparently, Ranveer and Anushka have categorically denied their relationship. In the past, Anushka had said, “We are great friends. We hang out, have coffee together, go out for dinners. We have common friends. We have some karmic connection but it’s totally platonic.”

Ranveer and Anushka might have gone public, saying they are just friends and share a platonic relationship, but the duo was recently caught in action at Ranbir Kapoor’s bash on Tuesday night.

Anushka went ahead and even swore on her film, saying, “I have sworn on my movie ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ that Ranveer and I are not dating. There is no bigger proof I can give. He keeps to himself most of the time. He is not a person who will ask his girlfriend about her day and if she is okay or not. He is overdramatic and psychotic. Hats off to the girl who’s ever going to date him.”

On the other hand, Ranveer chipped in, saying, “Our relationship is such that we are unabashedly taking each other’s case, tearing each other’s hair out if we happen to spend even fifteen minutes at a stretch in one room. Anushka is too demanding. God help the person who dates her.”

However, once at Ranbir’s pad, the duo was in their elements. Talking to a daily, an eyewitness said, “They definitely made their relationship official, albeit by action.”

After the success of super hit film ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’, Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma’s pair will Seen again for the romantic comedy ‘Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl’.

It seems Yash Raj Films is looking to spin the same magic again as the premise of this film sounds similar – ‘Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl’ is a romantic comedy where a charming conman Ricky Bahl cons girls for a living, but finally meets his match.

It`s another offering from Yash Raj Films` and Aditya Chopra is producing the movie based on a story developed by him.

It goes on floor early April with plans to be in theatres worldwide on Dec 9 this year.

If the lead pair is repeated, some of the crew members are also from ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’.

Habib Faisal has written the dialogues and Devika Bhagat has scripted screenplay. Salim-Sulaiman will compose the music, and Amitabh Bhattacharya will pen the lyrics.
