GOA is a Most Popular tourist destination : PRACHI

Talking about the Goa, Prachi said, "It`s an honour to be the face of the most popular tourist destination. I`ve been to Goa quite a few times and found out that there`s so much more to explore."

Prachi Desai is yet to prove her acting finesse, but the actress sure knows how to connect with the masses. The lass, who is relatively new to Bollywood, has been chosen to promote Goa tourism thereby becoming the face of the holiday destination.

Already riding high on her the success of ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’, Desai’s latest feat has given her yet another reason to celebrate.

As to why Prachi was chosen, state tourism secretary MM Modassir said, "As we grow, we need to change strategies. While we are not diverting from promoting Goa as a family destination, we realise that almost 50% of India`s population is below the age of 25, and we are looking at targeting the affluent youth, who are a growing segment."

With Prachi promoting Goa, the state government is set to plunge into a campaign that will span mediums that include TV, press, online and retail activation. It also includes celebrity representation and will be directed at the domestic market.

Prachi Dedai is no more in Jashn

Prachi Desai is no more a part of the Bhatt film 'Jashn'. She walked out of the film citing date reasons as, apparently, director duo Abbas-Mastan in whose film 'Life Partner' she is working currently, were not very happy letting her go. 'Life Partner' will be her second release since her debut in 'Rock On!!' and the actress is said to be bound contractually for that.

The actress confirms the news of her opting out of 'Jashn', but is upset to have given up a Vishesh banner film. "It's true I'm out of 'Jashn'. I really wanted to work with the Bhatts who have done such wonderful work with Kangana Ranaut and other girls. I said yes thinking the dates that were with Abbas-Mastan could be adjusted. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. But fortunately, the Bhatts aren't upset with me. We'll work together again very soon," hopes Prachi.

Prachi has also rejected a film offer from Balaji (the production house that got her recognition on the small screen) much to the disappointment of mentor Ekta Kapoor, say sources. But Prachi refutes the rumours. "They had spoken to me about a film. But we hadn't signed a contract or anything," clarifies she, adding that Ekta and her relationship is not the kind to dissolve so easily due to such baseless rumours. "Ekta, her mom Shobha aunty and I are too close for people to try and spoil our relationship. We don't only share an actress-producer bonding. I'm like a daughter in their family. And Shobha aunty is as concerned about my film career. She advised me to wait until the release of 'Rock On!!' before signing any new films. I'll always be relying on Ekta and Shobha aunty to guide me through my film career.
